The nose begins with hues of grounding aromatics; wood polish, old worn leather, the damps tones of a vintage barn. Next come sweet kisses of dark chocolate interspaced with notes of juicy plum fruits. On the tongue, Willett 22 year old Family Estate single barrel languishes almost lazily with silky tendrils of cocoa and blends of milk and dark chocolate. Oak planks dipped in cherries and caramel soon follows along with hints of buttered toffee candies and another nod of vintage leather. As you roll the sip around further, you are hit with the memorable taste of tootsie rolls – delightfully sweet and bound to bring a smile to your lips.
