Woodford Reserve Master's Collection 1838 Style White Corn

A Journey Through Bourbon History

This limited edition pays homage to Oscar Pepper and James Crow, utilizing white corn in a mash bill reminiscent of 1830s distilling techniques. Released with only 30,000 bottles worldwide, this no-age-statement bourbon (estimated 5+ years) is carefully crafted and bottled at 90.4 proof. The production honors the same location where Pepper and Crow originally distilled, bridging nearly two centuries of bourbon-making tradition.

Landing Page About

A Sensory Exploration of Heritage

The nose opens with sweet corn, ripe apples, and toasted oak, backed by gentle notes of baked sugar. The palate delivers a complex medley of orchard fruits, spicy undertones, and buttery popcorn characteristics.

The results are a real step back into time. The nose exudes popcorn above all else, layered just a tad with notes of clover honey and caramel sauce. On the palate that popcorn character utterly dominates, though it also finds notes of leather, tobacco leaf, and white pepper.
