Released in December 2023, Angel Envy’s inaugural cask strength rye whiskey is finished in Sauternes and Toasted Oak Barrels and bottled at 114.4-proof. The epic initiation blend from newly appointed Master Distiller Owen Martin, this release is a blend of two select batches of sourced MGP distillate derived from a mash bill of 95% rye and 5% malted barley - initially aged for at least 5 years. One batch is then transferred and matured for a further 3 years in ex-Sauternes wine casks, while the other is finished in a marriage of American and French toasted oak barrels for 6 months. Limited to only 5,500 bottles, this limited edition rye whiskey is the perfect addition to any whiskey connoisseur’s collection.
