Diplomático Reserva Exclusiva is an elegant and complex sipping rum, carefully crafted from the purest of sugar cane honeys. It is delicately distilled in ancient copper pot stills and aged in small oak casks for up to twelve years. Marrying a unique body with excellent balance has made it a reference for rum lovers and connoisseurs throughout the world. Diplomático rums are made from sugar cane molasses and sugar cane honeys; molasses is used to produce light rums and the sugar cane honeys for more complex rums. The distillery sources molasses with a high concentration of sugar, but with a low ash content and low viscosity. DUSA cultivates and maintains its own yeast strain, which is used to convert the sugar into alcohol. Light rums made from molasses require a short fermentation, around a day. Intermediate and complex rums that are made from sugar cane honey, however, will take two days to ferment.…

This will be honest..... was hoping to get into something other than rye bourbons whiskeys and scotch. Ive consistently adored rums when I was more youthful and I thought Id return and attempt some sipping rums like the privateers ya know. Arrrgh. Subsequent to perusing huge amounts of audits online I arrived on this specific rum. Well here goes.... Sweeeeeeet sugar sweet. gracious my god did I notice sweet? Originating from the universe of bourbon/scotch there is nothing this sweet other than possibly angels envy however its not sweet it just has a rum flavor from barrel maturing. Anyway it took me daily to post a survey since I was so vexed about my desires versus reality with this alcohol (or would it be advisable for me to state alcohol?). Its truly like pouring a sugar 3D square or five into a rum glass and tasting on it. I exceptionally question this is the thing that privateers drank. All in all Ill return to my bourbon/scotch/whiskey world and every so often tequila which I additionally love and avoid rums in the event that they all tast like this. Sorry this ones not for me. A lot of pleasantness. What a misuse of cash. Ugh or arrrrgh! LOL
