Prophecy Heavily Peated Single Malt Scotch Whisky 750ml
A very peated edition from Isle of Jura, Prophecy is made from a selection of old and rare Jura whiskies. Very interesting indeed. Isle of Jura is not generally a heavily peated malt but Prophecy is (40 parts per million) and although does not carry an age statement has an average age of 20 years in ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks. Prophecy was bottled without chill filtration. Only 1,800 cases were released worldwide.

About the brand
The distillery was founded by the Laird of Jura, Archibald Campbell in 1810. The distillery fell into disrepair but was restored in 1884. Around 1900 it was again in disuse and dismantled. In the 1950s two local estate owners Robin Fletcher and Tony Riley-Smith keen to revive the local economy had the distillery rebuilt and expanded by the architects Lothian, Barclay, Jarvis & Boys with input from whisky and distillery expert William Delmé-Evans. The work was completed in 1963, and included the installation of taller stills, allowing the distillery to create a mix of malts.

Stunning what a peat. Gritty natural notes quickly show up on nose which creates with flavors (cloves traces of nutmeg). Given time a sea character shows up fresher than previously. Standing by longer and ocean side blends in with woods. This is Scotland this is Jura. Otters or deers may show up whenever from my measure. Mouthfeel is predictable with nose simply including some severe oak notes - not the most wonderful I've at any point attempted tbh however not all that immense: you can without much of a stretch disregard them and continue tasting. Give some time more into your mouth to this measure TPC comes and kills oak. it's up to you. Liquor isn't seen whenever. Not a boozy measure by any stretch of the imagination. Give me some new clams it would be ideal if you Unavailable? Goodness steamed mussels are fine also much appreciated.
