This is a highly sophisticated sipping rum. The nose is distinctly rum, with enticing notes of molasses and vanilla soon followed by an unexpected yet delightful smokiness. The initial flavor is also distinctly rum but finishes with peat and smoke, like a fine scotch, demonstrating the influence of the whiskey barrels inside which this rum was aged. Unbelievably smooth from start to finish, and the smokiness lingers impossibly long on the palate. Unique, magical, and highly recommended. I can't think of a more perfect match for any cigar.
