Bold and beautiful, this offering of Willet Family Estate 6 year old Single Barrel Rye Whiskey is derived from Barrel 6061 and is part of WFE’s exclusive Private Selection single barrel series. Finished to a powerfully hued 126.6 proof and released in a limited run of just 182 bottles, Barrel 6061 is aged a minimum of 6 years in new white oak casks and is composed of an undisclosed mash bill estimated to contain WFE’s high-rye rye recipe of 74% rye, 11% corn, and 15% malted barley. The nose offers aromatic hits of figs in blackberry preserves over a layer of molasses and maple syrup. On the palate are hints of mint, citrus marmalade on toast, and sweet vanilla seasoned with black pepper and cloves. …
