Made with a blend of brandies aged 20 to 25 years, this is a pleasant sipper, with complex flavors that unfold slowly. Maison Tessendier exclusively uses ugni blanc grapes harvested from the four best crus in France: Grande Champagne, Petite Champagne, Borderies, and Fins Bois. While other expressions in the brand's lineup feature eaux-de-vie from one to three growing regions, their Cognac Park XO Traditional Reserve uses eaux-de-vie from all four, each double-distilled in Charentais copper pot-stills. Aged for 20 to 25 years, new medium-toasted French Limousin oak casks were used during the first year of aging, followed by a secondary maturation in older casks. fourth of 6 out of an example pack of Park Cognac. This XO is as far as anyone knows made with a mix of 20 to multi year old cognacs Begins with solid oak on the button there's some swoon cocoa and prune notes graceful vanilla and dark tea on the sense of taste the completion seamed somewhat short and insipid. Very disillusioning in the wake of tasting the vsop and borderies.
