It is genuine like individuals said. Eating nut cake by an open air fire by the sea. Taste superior to the depression. Didn't lose the much character as the score. Somewhat pricy for what it is however.

Ardbeg keeps on dazzling with this discharge. Immense effect of the rum barrels turns out in both the nose and taste. Nose: Rich full bodied peat and smoke. Rounded and vigorous. The iodine and elastic smell I generally get off Ardbeg is totally gone. Rather it is supplanted by foods grown from the ground. Overripe banana sweet apples nutmeg cinnamon slight raisin and nuttiness. Taste: Hot peat and smoke blurs rapidly into an amazingly rich fruitiness. I was promptly helped to remember a more smokey Compass Box Incredible Lord Road Glasgow Mix. Cinnamon and nutmeg blur into a thick banana and apple flavor. The completion is charmingly salty with citrusy flavors like lemon ginger and turmeric. Slick bourbon seasons keep going quite a while after.

Tasting Notes

Nose

The peat smoke is subtle in this one, leaving room for plenty of other aromas. Well-rounded and somewhat creamy, with mushy banana, cinnamon apple, pineapple and apricots. Finally even some candy hearts, and a floral whiff.

Taste

Pretty creamy mouthfeel too. Somewhat more spicy (nutmeg, cinnamon, even a hit of ginger), and lots of dry smoke and ashes. It has a sugary sweetness though, alongside vanilla and lime.

Finish

Lingering salt and smoke and vanilla.
