Originally released in 1997, Silver Select was for a long time Jack Daniel's highest-proof whiskey. This is the second edition, released between 2010 and 2015 before being discontinued and replaced by the current single barrel 100-proof version. Hand-selected for its unique taste and smooth, aromatic character, these limited barrels are aged in the highest reaches of Jack Daniel's barrelhouses, where the whiskey’s color and taste mature an extra measure. Clocking in at 50% ABV or 100-proof, much higher than standard JD, the 2nd edition Silver Select from Jack Daniel's is widely coveted and increasingly rare, becoming a collector's item for fans of Jack.
