Shipping and Returns

Shipping Information

Rates

Shipping costs are based on the number of bottles you are buying. Shipping costs vary based on the subtotal of products in the cart. For orders up to $100 there is a flat rate of $22 for shipping. Orders between $100-$500 are eligible for $12.99 flat-rate shipping. Orders exceeding $500 receive free shipping. Frootbat reserves the right to exercise its discretion in updating or modifying these shipping charges in circumstances where the aforementioned rates are not reasonable.

Returns

Unfortunately due to state laws we cannot accept returns of alcoholic beverages if the product is not defective or shipped in error. If a product is shipped in error, we will provide free return shipping and a full replacement or refund (whichever you prefer). Simply notify us of the problem within 48 hours of receiving your order through the My Orders page or email us at orders@frootbat.com.

Cancellations

We will do our best to accomodate cancellation requests if the order has not yet been processed, however we cannot guarantee that cancellation requests can be accommodated. Please oder carefully. Cancellations are subject to 5% cancellation fee. If an order is already in transit or delivered it cannot be cancelled.

Signature Policy

If you order from us you are representing to us that you are at least 21 years of age and that the person to whom it is being shipped is also at least 21 years of age. An adult signature will be REQUIRED upon delivery. Title to all items you order passes to you as soon as it leaves our doors; it is up to you to know the relevant laws in your state.

Address Restrictions

We use a network of carriers to deliver all packages. Our Shipping Carrier does NOT ship to P.O. Boxes or Parcel Lockers but do ship to all residential and business addresses. We will only allow you to checkout if your delivery address is within the allowed zone of the fulfilling store.

Shipping & Processing Time

We aim to process all orders within 48 hours and deliver within 7 days but on occasion there may be circumstances outside our control which cause this to take longer. We recommend you monitor the estimated delivery date on your My Orders screen for the most up to date delivery expectation. A small percentage of items require a longer ship-out time. On rare occasions we may face an unforeseen delay in shipping your order and in that case, we will notify you by email. All Shipping Carrier transit times are only in effect after your order is shipped. Depending on your location, the shipment can take anywhere from 1-5 business days additional in transit. We cannot guarantee any shipments by a specific date, nor will be held responsible for any shipping instructions given on an order. We will do our best to accommodate the Customer in any way.

Delivery Attempt

It is the Customer's responsibility to be present at the time of delivery for an adult signature. If no one is available to receive the package, 2 subsequent attempts to deliver will be made. Whenever possible, we encourage you to use a commercial business address to assure the fastest delivery time. If subsequent attempts are unsuccessful, your package will be returned to sender. The Customer will incur the cost of the return shipping and a 5% cancellation fee. If the Customer wishes to have the order reshipped, a reshipment fee will apply. If a package is lost or damaged as a result of being returned to sender due to the Customer failing to be present for delivery, Frootbat assumes no responsibility or liability for the loss or damage of the package. All Frootbat deliveries require an adult signature. On occasion, without Frootbat’s consent or knowledge, Shipping providers may not adhere to this requirement and will leave the package at the delivery address. Frootbat is not liable for package loss or theft following delivery to the Buyer’s address as provided to Frootbat.

Hold At Carrier Location

If the Customer arranges with the carrier for a package to be held at a carrier location for pickup, it is the Customer’s responsibility to pickup the package within 5 business days. Failure to do so will result in your package being returned to sender. The Customer will incur the cost of the return shipping and a 5% cancellation fee. If the Customer wishes to have the order reshipped, a reshipment fee will apply. If a package is lost or damaged as a result of being returned to sender as a due to the Customer failing to pickup the package within the prescribed timeframe, Frootbat assumes no responsibility or liability for the loss or damage of the package.

Incorrect Shipping Address

If the Customer provides an incorrect or incomplete shipping address, Frootbat will make all reasonable attempts to update the address with the carrier. If a package is delivered to an incorrect address, lost or damaged as a result of the Customer providing an incorrect address, Frootbat assumes no responsibility or liability for the loss or damage. If the incorrect address cannot be updated with the carrier Frootbat will attempt to have the package returned to sender. The Customer will incur the cost of the return shipping and a 5% cancellation fee. If the Customer wishes to have the order reshipped, a reshipment fee will apply. If a package is lost or damaged as a result of being returned to sender due to the Customer providing an incomplete or incorrect address, Frootbat assumes no responsibility or liability for the loss or damage of the package.

Extreme Weather

Frootbat shall not be responsible for any product damage that occurs due to extreme temperatures during shipping. Frootbat strongly urges you to consider the effect of weather conditions prior to ordering products. Potential heat exposure during warm weather conditions and extreme cold during the winter months may damage products during shipping. We define these temperature readings or predicted temperatures of greater than 75 degrees or less than 45 degrees fahrenheit. If you notify Frootbat that you would like your order to be put on hold until temperature conditions are more suitable for shipping, Frootbat will do so at no additional cost.

Insurance

Frootbat automatically provides insurance for each order placed online as included in the shipping cost. Our insurance policy solely insures shipments against breakage and loss from the time of purchase to the time of delivery. Shipping insurance does not cover scratched and/or scuffed labels and /or capsules, cracked wax seals and/or capsules, damaged bottle packaging boxes or seepage. Buyer is strongly advised to purchase secondary insurance for any and all items purchased from Frootbat as Frootbat nor it’s agents assume any responsibility for the aforementioned deterioration resulting from shipment and/or packaging. Shipping insurance does not cover any packages that are returned to sender because of any of the following reasons: a.) the Customer’s failure to be available for delivery, b.) the Customer’s failure to pickup the package from a carrier pickup location within the prescribed timeframe, c.) the Customer providing an incomplete or incorrect address to Frootbat. No refund or replacement will be provided to the customer in these instances.

Vintages, Batches and Casks

Unless a vintage, batch or cask is specifically mentioned in a products name then Frootbat may ship you any vintage, batch or cask variant of the product that you ordered.

Product Images

The product shipped may differ slightly from the product image displayed on Frootbat’s website. Product packaging is constantly being updated and we do everything in our power to keep product images up to date. However we make no guarantees of the exact bottle shape or label design that is shipped to the customer unless it is specified as a special and/or limited edition or an older-style bottling.
