Tolley served the distillery from 1941 to 1964, during Brown-Forman's purchase of the facility in 1956. The grandnephew of Daniel himself, Tolley was a dedicated and disciplined employee who aimed to increase the brand's whiskey production while maintaining its renowned quaffability. Bottled at 86-proof and produced in curated quantities, expect aromatic notes of dry spice, creamy nuts, smoke, and vanilla paired with a palate of banana, roasted nuts, caramel, and anglaise.
