Bottled at 92-proof, Glenfarclas 40 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky has matured exclusively in European oak ex-Oloroso sherry casks. Awarded 95 out of 100 by Malt Advocate Magazine, this exceptional single malt is an older edition of Glenfarclas 40 Year Old, presented in a purple tube instead of the more modern red warehouse box, making it an extremely rare and highly collectible expression.

A Highly Collectible Edition

The nose has a fresh sweetness and fruity Turkish delight aroma. On the palate, expect a sweet flavor, followed by a peppering of caramel and chocolate explosions, with sherry power building it ways to the back of your mouth releasing dark chocolate, raisins and sultanas. The sip finishes with a sweet, crisp and dry lingering finish.

This is simply superb and one of the very best whiskys I've ever had. It is stunningly balanced and complex with Glenfarclas's signature mellow, well-aged and classic old spirit quality. Not to mention fantastic value for a 40 year old expression. Don't hesitate, it's that good!
