From the Historic Camp Nelson B Rickhouse
Sourced from select barrels located on the sixth floor of the iconic Camp Nelson B rickhouse, this bourbon is bottled at a high-proof 120.2, making it the strongest entry in the Single Rickhouse series to date. Built in 1946 and still in operation today, Camp Nelson B is strategically positioned to receive maximum sun exposure, contributing to the rich and bold flavors of this bourbon. The warm environment of the higher floors and increased sun exposure give this release a distinct oaky profile, with Master Distiller Eddie Russell selecting only the finest barrels to highlight the rich, dark honey and char notes unique to this rickhouse.
The best release yet
On the nose, expect sweet oak, molasses, and honey-soaked cornbread, with notes of cinnamon, nutmeg, and a hint of spearmint. The palate is syrupy and honey-forward, with caramelized elements, dark oak, and a rich mouthfeel that’s tempered by cooling menthol and bright dark fruit flavors like blackcurrant and baked pears. The finish is long and complex, offering a smooth cola-like character with notes of black cherry and dark grape, reminiscent of brandy
