Master Blender's Symphony of Malts

A meticulously crafted vatted malt combining single malts from Nikka's Yoichi and Miyagikyo distilleries at 43% ABV (86 proof). The 100% malted barley expression undergoes 21 years of aging, honoring founder Masataka Taketsuru's legacy. Previously unavailable in America until recently, this expression earned four "World's Best Blended Malt" titles between 2007-2011 at the World Whisky Awards, plus gold medals at the International Spirits Competition in 2008, 2009, 2010, and 2012.

A Refined Japanese Character

The nose presents rich malt with gentle oak, ginger, and tiramisu notes. Its caramel appearance reveals a palate of vanilla, fruit and spices evolving into leather and tobacco. The soft, dry mouthfeel intensifies with water, while a long, mellow finish coats the tongue.

This is wonderfully flavorful, even at 43%. Low proof doesn’t have to mean low flavor, it just takes more time than many want to wait.
