A formidable wheated whiskey and homage to William Larue Weller, one of bourbon's original aristocrats, the WL Weller 12 year old Kentucky Straight Bourbon is an outstanding Kentucky bourbon. Aged for 12 years, using wheat secondary to rye in its process, this bourbon offers a nose of vanilla, caramel and molasses, giving way to a mouth of corn, fruit and cocoa. Having earned the accolades of Double Gold Medal at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition and scoring 93.5 points in Jim Murray's Whisky Bible, this spirit is one you simply cannot pass over.

If you collect bourbon, particularly Weller, then you need to get your hands on this. This Weller Centennial edition was released as part of the "Bourbon Heritage Collection" (BHC), and originally had Louisville on the label. Later, the label changed to Frankfort but retained the BHC logo on the cap. This is one of the Frankfort bottlings (there were three iterations), rumored to contain Stitzel Weller juice around the time Buffalo Trace acquired the brand. An incredible piece of whiskey history and a damn fine bourbon. Minor cellar bloom, otherwise excellent condition.
