This particular OBSQ Private Selection was aged in Four Roses’ Warehouse UN for 10 years, 9 months in Barrel #48-2D, before being bottled at 113.8-proof. Each Four Roses Single Barrel recipe name is composed of four letters identifying its production facility, mash bill, distillation process, and yeast strain and bottled at varying degrees of cask strength. This featured offering is crafted from their OBSQ single barrel recipe, combining their rye-forward ‘B’ mash bill with their floral ‘Q’ yeast strain.

A Robust, Spicy, And Floral Bourbon

Expect a rye-forward nose with hints of sweet toffee, honey-roasted nuts and subtle tobacco followed by a palate of ripe red fruit, plum and oak.

This is the 6th of the 10 Four Roses Single Barrel recipes I have tasted and this is the best of the lot. An exceptional Cask Strength bourbon!
