As part of the highly anticipated Antique Collection from Buffalo Trace, this bottling of Thomas H. Handy Sazerac straight rye from 2012 is a masterpiece of true distilling magic! Distilled in Spring 2006 and released in Summer 2012, this whisky is aged for a minimum of 6 years in 47 select new white oak barrels with #4 55-second charring and double distilled in BTD beer stills. Composed of a mash bill of N. Dakota malted barley, Kentucky-grown distiller grade #1/#2 corn, and Minnesota rye and finished to a fiery 132.4 proof, 2012 Thomas H. Handy Sazerac whiskey has a nose of smoked tobacco leaves and worn leather over sweet vanilla and allspice. The palate is rich with hints of spice, pepper, and crisp red apples. …
