Gordon & MacPhail Whisky began as a humble but carefully curated grocery store in 1895 in the central region of Speyside, Elgin, Scotland. Founders James Gordon and John Alexander MacPhail offered various international products and began seeking out complementary crafted single malt whisky produced throughout Scotland. With the help of hired associate John Urquhart, joining the team as someone who selected, purchased, and matured sourced whiskies from local distilleries in the area.
