Noted for its carefully-curated aging in rare bois rose French oak barrels, hand-selected by co-founder and wine master Danial Daou - Daou Vineyards 2012 Estate Soul of a Lion is premium Cabernet Sauvignon composed in the Bordeaux style. Derived from a marriage of 2 California varietals, namely; 97% Cabernet Sauvignon and 3% Petit Verdot, this dark red wine features a vibrant nose full of spring violets, macerated bush berries, and chocolate. Matured for 22 months in the aforementioned custom barrels, 2012 Soul of a Lion is then bottled and left to rest for an undisclosed duration of time to seal in its distinct characteristics and palatability.
