Baker's 7 year old Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey is named after Baker Beam, the grand-nephew of the legendary Jim Beam. The bourbon is made from a mash dominated by corn and fermented using a special strain of jug yeast that has been in the Beam family for over six decades. Beam began harvesting corn and set forth a family tradition by distilling the excess grains he harvested into whiskey. About the brand

Baker's Bourbon is one of Jim Beam's small batch silo collections, alongside Basil Hayden's, Knob Creek, and Booker's Bourbon, representing the distillery's proud heritage and sitting below Booker's as the second-highest proofed iteration. I love Bakers 7. Its a great balance of cherry, oak, and peanut. The one I recieved was also almost 9 years old so that was awesome!

Tasting Notes

Nose

Fruity, caramel, toffee, dark fruit, spice.

Taste

Nutty, with good grip. Plenty of tangy fruit with vanilla spice and rounded char.

Finish

Rounded, good length, sweetness and coffee.
