About the brand
Founded as a small-batch bourbon distillery by Colonel Edmund Hayes Taylor in the 1800s, Colonel E. H. Taylor has been an innovator since its inception. Not only did the brand revolutionize distilling processes and techniques, being the first to use copper fermentation and inventing a steam heating system still in use today, but Taylor's meticulous and precise approach to manufacturing whiskey also made his exports some of the most distinctive, complex and flavorsome sipping whiskeys, which they remain today. Produced in limited quantities at the Buffalo Trace Distillery, Colonel E. H. Taylor has received countless awards, most recently earning the Gold Medal in 2020's San Francisco World Spirits Competition for both their Small Batch and Single Barrel Bourbon Whiskeys. A legendary brand, unmatched in its dedication to quality.

Corresponding components of all that you and I love about damn great whiskey: corn flavor vanilla pleasantness oak scorch smooth consume and so forth. Presently can't seem to discover an E.H. Strong 5 star drink. You can smell and taste the oak and caramel. It is a disgrace this isn't accessible consistently in light of the fact that it is one of my strong top choices in reality it might be my preferred whiskey

Tasting Notes
Nose
The nose on the Cured Oak is impressive and balanced. Woody with cherries or other dark fruit and just a bit of caramel sweetness that came out even more after a few drops of water. It grabs your attention, particular if you are partial to older bourbons.
Taste
The palate is where you realize the amount of influence the wood can have on a whiskey. Seasoned Wood shares more characteristics with the Cured Oak than other wheated bourbons. The dryness of the oak and even some peppery spice dances over some caramel sweetness.
Finish
Where the palates differ, both bourbons deliver a nice, medium-length finish. Fans of aged bourbon will appreciate the dryness as it fades.
