Produced by one of the world’s most profoundly influential Scottish distilleries, The Dalmore Distillery's Cigar Malt Reserve Single Malt Scotch Whisky encompasses the senses in rich hues, subtle flavors, and a finish that is beyond comparison. Based on Dalmore’s original 1999 Cigar Malt – discontinued in 2009 - Dalmore Cigar Malt Reserve premium single malt Scotch was re-released in 2011 as a tribute to that once highly-favored iteration. True to its origins, this NAS expression is derived from undeclared, singularly older Dalmore base single malt aged for a minimum of 10 years in a combination of American white oak ex-bourbon casks, 30 year old Gonzalez Byass Maltusalem Oloroso sherry casks, and a new addition - cabernet sauvignon casks. Each blend is matured individually and then married in a ratio of 20%-70%-10% respectively. Bottled at 44% ABV, this exceptionally exquisite quaff was re-released as a limited edition offering originally - however, it is now one of this premier distillery's ongoing iterations.…

About the brand

Established in 1839 by Alexander Matheson, Dalmore is a brand of acclaimed highland single malt Scotch produced by the renowned Dalmore Distillery in Scotland. The brand was family run until 1960 when one of its primary customer’s, Whyte & Mackay, took control of the company. At the time, Dalmore mainly consisted of a 12 year old iteration - however the brand has since expanded its range to include 15, 18, and 25 year old single malts, as well as a variety of specialty NAS releases. Dalmore’s rare selections include such offerings as the rare Dalmore’s King Alexander III; a unique wood finished bottling matured in 6 hand-selected wine and port casks. Another select edition, Dalmore Trinitas, was first released in 2010 and yielded a mere three bottles – selling for a reported $100,000 - $120,000 each. The brand was purchased by Philippines-based Emperador Inc in 2014 and continues their legacy of highly-collectible single malt whiskey today.

going down this is so good.... I don't get much on the button but at the same time I'm not drinking this with a stogie dangling in my grasp. salty nutty striking peaty. no doubt this is a great scotch. I burrow it.

Rich with dried organic products muscavado sugar pleasantness. Solid sherry components give a happy edge to a simple drinking measure.
