Whyte & Mackay was founded in 1882 by Charles Mackay and James Whyte, whisky merchants and bonded warehousemen out of Glasgow, Scotland. Now classified as a distilling and blender of fine whiskies, the brand operates various distilleries, including the iconic Dalmore distillery, Fettercairn, and Jura - located on the island of Hebridean. After releasing its first blended whisky, the brand became increasingly popular throughout the United Kingdom. Due to this success, Whyte & Mackay soon expanded into international markets and now produces more than 1 million cases annually worldwide. The brand has changed hands several times, finally coming under the ownership of Philippine’s-based Alliance Global Group in 2014 – subsequently controlled by AGG's beverage production section, Emperado Inc. Whyte & Mackay offer several lines of premium whiskies, liqueurs, and vodkas and has grown into an award-winning icon of fine spirits - producing legendary releases that have achieved worldwide acclaim.
