About the brand

Jeppson's Malört is a brand of distinctive Swedish liqueur derived from wormwood or aniseed. Prized for its bitter taste - Malört is named after Carl Jeppson, a Swedish-born immigrant who settled in Chicago and began selling his homemade liqueur door to door in the 1930s. The liqueur was produced in Chicago until the mid-1970s when the distillery that produced it for Jeppson closed. In 2018, Jeppson's Malört was purchased by Chicago-based CH Distillery - once again continuing the tradition of manufacturing this niche-market liqueur in the Windy City. Hard to find outside Chicago, including other parts of the US, Jeppson's Malört is a truly authentic tasting experience that is quickly becoming popular for those who enjoy a splash of bitterness carefully crafted for exceptional quaffability.
