Elijah Craig Beer Barrel Finish Bourbon is a collaboration between Heaven Hills Distillery and Goose Island Beer Company. Housed in a distinctly designed beer barrel decanter - this diminutive yet highly collectible bourbon features distillate aged in three barrels that were first charred and used to age bourbon and then shipped off to Goose Island to age Goose Island Bourbon County Stout. Goose Island then returned the barrels to Heaven Hills, who refilled them with fully matured Elijah Craig small-batch bourbon for at least nine months. Bottled at 47% ABV (94-proof) and composed of a mash bill containing 78% corn, 12% malted barley, and 10% rye, Elijah Craig Beer Barrel Finish opens with a nose of toasted malt, chocolate, and caramel. The palate offers layers of aged oak, spice, dark beer, and leather. Exceptionally coveted, this beer-bomb bourbon was originally offered as a limited curbside release at the Heaven Hill Distillery's Kentucky visitor center.…
