Originally launched in 2021, the Sagamore Spirit Reserve Series 8 year old Straight Rye Whiskey has since earned multiple awards and high acclaim for its bold palate and finish - including gold at the 2021 ASCOTS and double gold at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition. Re-released in 2023, this prized rye is aged for a minimum of 8 years in charred American white oak barrels and is derived from carefully sourced rye supplied by local Maryland agricultural partners and farms. Distilled by world-renowned MGP distillery and bottled at 55.7% ABV, the nose opens with medicinal herbs, apricots, and pumpkin pie smoked with spice. About the brand

Our spirit flows from a spring house, built in 1909, at Maryland’s Sagamore Farm – naturally filtered spring water, fed from a limestone aquifer. The same water that fuels our champion thoroughbreds also cuts the rich spice of our rye, creating a spirit as revolutionary as America’s risk-takers and history-makers. Our story is one of passion, of old meeting new, and crafting a timeless American whiskey. The story of Baltimore, Maryland’s, new Sagamore Spirit distillery, which opened to the public a few weeks back, is in part the story of its founder, billionaire and CEO of Under Armour Kevin Plank. Some time ago, Plank decided he wanted to make whiskey influenced by the water from his Sagamore Farm.
