Just at the name suggests, The Last Drop Buffalo Trace bourbon of 1982 is said to be the very last offering of this particular vintage from Sazerac’s Buffalo Trace Distillery. With a mere 44 bottles released, it would be very understated to say this special whiskey is one for the collectors out there – and trust us, it’s worth every last penny. The aroma opens up like a dew soaked morning with tides of spring kissed vanilla, rivers of honey, and notes of warm toffee candy over dark fruit and roasted oak planks. The tongue is romanced with beautiful tones of vanilla and bites of softly baked apple over candied pecans and honey soaked pear. Hints of chocolate and caramel kissed with the juice from black cherries soon follow for a rewarding, if not epically sinfully delicious taste. The Last Drop Buffalo Trace Bourbon 1982 finishes off with a bough of dried dark fruits that are carefully enrobed in hints of smoked oak. About the brand

Spirits industry veterans James Espey and Tom Jago founded Last Drop Distillers in 2008 with a view to bottling a series of rare, old Scotch whiskies and other spirits. The first release in 2008 was a vatting of Sherry cask-matured peated malt and grain carrying a 1960 vintage. The expression was followed by the brand’s first Cognac, a 1950 vintage from the Petite Champagne region, of which just 478 bottles were released. The Last Drop has since grown to provide its expressions to luxury spirits markets worldwide, and in 2012 created a partnership in China with Golden Glen Wine & Spirits Ltd. The company’s profile and commercial success eventually drew the interest of Sazerac Company Inc of New Orleans, owner of Buffalo Trace Bourbon, which acquired Last Drop Distillers in 2016.
