Bardstown Bourbon Company - aka BBCo - crafted their Discovery Series as a way to feature the masterful art of blending by marrying select aged barrels of whiskey derived from various locations into something that is more than (and better!) the sum of its parts. This featured release of the BBCo. Discovery Series 8 Blended Whiskey follows this methodology by combining a crafted ratio of 4 unique whiskies with distinct mash bills, namely: 66% 12 year old Kentucky Bourbon (78% corn, 10% rye, 12% malted barley), 17% 7 year old Indiana rye (containing 51% rye, 45% corn, 4% malted barley), 11% 12 year old Ontario Canadian 100% corn whiskey, and 6% 6 year old Indiana rye (95% rye, 5% malted barley). Bottled at 114.1-proof, this complex bourbon was released in July 2022 and is full of sweet caramel, rye spice, and smoky oak from nose to finish.…
