Nikka Yoichi 20 Year Old Single Malt Whisky 700ml Bottle

Attempted this in a trip with 6 half ounce pours. Others in flight were Hakushu 18 Yamazaki 18 Hibiki 21 Mars Komagatake 30 And Ichiro Port Funnel. This was second to Komagatake 30 with a rich flavor profile of berries flavors chocolate and some smoke.

Since I can type once more (my enter key was stuck...apparently my multi year old egged on my multi year old to stick playdoh between the keyboard)...I figured I'd compose another audit. On the off chance that you've at any point needed to smell the fragrance of dark truffles this is about as close as you'd get to it without really purchasing the truffle (on the other hand I think with late Japanese costs the Yoichi 20 may be more costly than a bunch of truffles!). It's gritty. Moist leaves. Essentially astounding. For me a decent whisky is 80% nose...and this is straight up there with the best! The taste doesn't miss the mark either however. I've never tasted a dark truffle (possibly had the joy of smelling it once when I was in a Parisian shop) yet I can envision this is the thing that it may have an aftertaste like. Soggy moist earth (positively not in the route when as children we happen to ingest some mud while playing mud football). There's smoke also yet not peat...more like charcoal. I'm envisioning the truffle flatbread flame broiled to flawlessness over charcoals. Finish is mesmerizing...smooth and flexible. Luckily I had purchased this a long time prior when costs were reasonable...but even at the present value it's one of those containers that is deserving of an exceptionally extraordinary lavish expenditure.
