Taylor Single Barrel was selected by Whiskey Hunt Australia - Australia’s bourbon barrel pick specialists - and released exclusively to Australia in a limited outrun of just 156 bottles. Composed of BT's Mash #1, believed to be 75% corn, 10% rye, and 15% barley, this single barrel bourbon has aged 9 years and 9 months on level 9 of Rickhouse 51. The nose opens with delicate aromas of vanilla, pepper and oak. The palate unfolds with creamy vanilla, cherry chocolate, candied orange and hints of apple-laced rye. Oily textures linger on the finish, extending the aftertaste of cinnamon, vanilla and charry oak.…

About the brand

Founded as a small-batch bourbon distillery by Colonel Edmund Hayes Taylor in the 1800s, Colonel E. H. Taylor has been an innovator since its inception. Not only did the brand revolutionize distilling processes and techniques, being the first to use copper fermentation and inventing a steam heating system still in use today, but Taylor's meticulous and precise approach to manufacturing whiskey also made his exports some of the most distinctive, complex and flavorsome sipping whiskeys, which they remain today. Produced in limited quantities at the Buffalo Trace Distillery, Colonel E. H. Taylor has received countless awards, most recently earning the Gold Medal in 2020's San Francisco World Spirits Competition for both their Small Batch and Single Barrel Bourbon Whiskeys.
