Originally known as the J. J. Cohn Estate, Scarecrow Vineyards is a world-renowned wine producer from Rutherford California. The winery's name was chosen in honor of Cohn, executive producer of iconic films like The Wizard of Oz. In keeping with such a legacy, Scarecrow wines have become a true cult phenomenon. This featured bottling of 2010 Scarecrow Cabernet Sauvignon is composed of 100% California Cabernet Sauvignon grapes hand-harvested entirely from the Cohen estate – with each small lot fermented independently, blended, and matured for 22 months in 100% new French oak barrels before being bottled in July 2012. Released in a limited run of just 1,000 cases with varying ABV%, this exceptionally collectible Cabernet was reviewed and awarded 98 points overall by Robert Parker's Wine Advocate, 96 points by Vinous, and 94 points by the experts of Wine Spectator. …
