Their Miyagikyo 15 year old single malt whiskey is yet another example of this truth with its complex nature, golden amber hue, and elegantly sublime flavor perfectly pairing the legacy that Nikka is so proud of. Rich aromas of fruit and dark sherry over just at touch of old rubber is complimented further by hits of sweet raisins bathed in marzipan vanilla cream and spicy cinnamon. The tongue is silk laden with dashes of more raisins, sherry soaked malt, and a brush of cinnamon over raisins baked with nutmeg. A lasting thread of caramel underlines this all for a completely wonderful expression of whiskey with a long and spicy finish hazed in smoke. …
